My 2014

To travel is to live….

.This is one line I do take very seriously, as for me travel is all about finding peace, smile, calmness, excitement, learning…and 2014 was a good one filled with travels, friends, self introspection…

.

At the top of Ugrastambham at Ahobilam.
Started the year with the trek into the beautiful Nalamalla’s . At the top of Ugrastambham at Ahobilam, Kurnool. Anytime of the year I want a peaceful trek, this is the place I vanish to.

Standing on the pinnacle of Kalavantin was awesome
Standing on the pinnacle of Kalavantin was awesome …at an elevation of 2,300 feet in the Western Ghats its one of the beautiful mountains I have trekked to – At Kalavantin Durg, Maharashtra.

3-prabalgad
After a rocky trek..we took a Salute…Prabalgad climbed and done.

4-warangal
With the Toranas…Beautiful Architecture of Kakatiya’s – Warangal, Telangana.

5-LAKNAVARAM
Hiking through the forest of Laknavaram. It one awesome place with hills to hike till your heart is satisfied..and a beautiful lake to sit and watch the sunset

6-horse
Some months with the Horses this year riding away…I love animals and more than the riding it was fun to spend so much time with the horses..

7-mullyangiri
The best trip of my year..Being on the highest peak in Karnataka itself fills your heart with smiles…Trekking through the foggy slopes of Mullyangiri…..Heaven is the only word- At Mullyangiri, Karnataka.

8.1-children
A trip to the tribal children school of Nallamala forests..’ Children of the Forest’ as they are called…

8.2-Kualampur (191)
Backpacking through Kuala Lumpur…All touristy but always good to see new cultures..One country per year and the streak is going on unbroken from 2007…and when you travel cheap and hard, you do actually see things..

8.3-lankwaiislands
A trip to the beautiful Islands on Langkawi islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the coast of northwestern Malaysia..one amazing and scary boat rides I have ever had…

.

8.5-bali
The Beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia…a completely chill-out place..If one has all the time in the world, this is one of the places to be..Eat, drink, surf, party hard, amazing spa’s, cheap costs, huge mountains to trek…

.

8.6-batur
On top of Mt.Batur, one of Indonesia’s active volcano..was an amazing experience to trek to the top and then experience the volcano steam and views..And to top it all my breakfast was cooked in the volcano steam 🙂

8-matheran
Amazing views, foggy paths, quite roads, awesome food..A fun filled trek climbing all the way to the top of Matheran….A trek to Matheran, Maharashtra.

9-dudhsagar
Love it and hate it, but every year monsoons are never complete without a visit to Dudhsagar falls..a view to cherish – Dudhsagar, Goa.

10-blog1
Stand above the clouds – Trek to Andhra Pradesh’s Highest Peak- Jindhaghada @5545ft in Araku Range….When we climb mountains, stand on top of it and see the world, it just becomes much more prettier place to live in..- At Jindhaghada , Andhra Pradesh.

11-ghanpur
A jewel which is close to Hyderabad – Hiking and Swimming at Ghanpur.

12-lambasingi
The last trip of the year..backpacking to Lambasingi, Chithapally and sileru..An awesome experience, great group and peaceful villages..could not have asked for more to end the year.

Found a new love- Climbing tree’s 🙂

Apart from all the travel’s, took a Career change, lost some dear one’s, made some new friends, loads of up’s and down’s .. But as my friend always says Murphy laid down the best law ‘whatever can happen will happen’ ..so just live today and being happy was all it was about.
