I still remember that day I was in Paris.I wanted to explore the city on my own, so I took a tube map and set off. Seeing each place I drifted off to some unknown station and before I knew it I was kind of lost.It was my first time in tubes 🙂
Paris is one city where we find very less english speaking people. When I started asking people around for directions, I could hardly pass my message across, as no one on that platform spoke english.
So if it happened to me it is bound to happen to some other person somewhere.
These days when we have everything on our palm, why not a common language application which will help us interact with anyone anywhere in the world irrespective of their language.
That thought made me to pick up WorldTalker from all the idea’s I was evaluating for Google ADC2 Contest.
One application which would give you a few basics of a language.
One application for language enthusiastic learners to carry their language tutorials where ever they go.
Why is it useful as a phone application?
Phone has become a device one has access to these days where ever there go.So your WorldTalker goes with you where ever you go.Its portable, handy, as on when you want it.
Ok, So what is this WorldTalker in the first place…
Its is an android application which can be installed on Android enabled phones. It gives you basic sentences, frequently used words, in many languages. It gives you picture’s enabled tutorial to make the learning process easier if one wants to learn the words.
So next time I am lost somewhere, I could use WorldTalker to talk to the locals there.
